Blind Lemon Aid

April 18, 2010

While on my way to work this morning, I was listening to 105.5 jyy and they had a guest on. His name was Brian Templeton, and he is the President of a local non-profit called Blind Lemon Aid. I listened to the whole interview and was struck by the passion he has for what they do. This is the most important thing when having a story and a great cause is the passion. The concept for Blind Lemon aid  ingenious, yet simple. Put on great concerts and have the proceeds go directly to a non-profit. I was moved and touched by what it they do at this organization. One of the only changes I would have is to share personal stories about people who receive this money. How did it help this Jon Doe or this Jane Doe? These are the types of things that make things even more sticky and spreadable by word of mouth. None the less amazing organization and the type of people we need more of in this world. Keep the music coming Blind Lemon Aid. To learn more at the link below.
